Your data
Faraday does not collect or share personal information. There are no accounts, advertising, analytics or usage tracking.
On your device
Your preferences are saved on your device. Faraday reads radio status and motion to animate the player, and uses media playback, volume, brightness, vibration and the flashlight for its controls. This information stays on your device and is not sent to us.
Offline playback
The sounds are bundled with the app, so playback works without an internet connection.
Reading this policy in the app
When you open this privacy policy or the terms of service in Faraday, the app loads them from faradaysounds.com, which is hosted by GitHub Pages. As with any website, GitHub receives your IP address and basic browser information to deliver the page, and may log them for security. These pages use no cookies, analytics or tracking. If they can’t load, or you’re offline, Faraday shows the copy saved in the app. This is the only time Faraday connects to the internet.
Keeping and removing preferences
Preferences stay on your device until the app data is cleared or the app is uninstalled. Your operating system may back up and restore app settings according to your device settings. We keep no personal data on our servers.
Children
Faraday does not collect personal information from children or other users.
Policy updates
Any changes to this policy will be published with the updated app and at faradaysounds.com/privacy.
